First Year's Activities

SoyWater's first limited launching was in May 1, 2009 to selected 21 Soybean producers and a number of UNL-extension specialists. They created their own SoyWater profile, ran the program, and updated their crop water use table with their respective daily actual rainfall and irrigation amounts. Introduction of SoyWater to a number of farmers were also carried out (e.g. Elkhorn Natural Resouce District). A greater information dessemination was made possible through the University of Nebraska's Crop Production Clinic to identified 9 major locations around the state.

SoyWater is revised based on the first year's comments and feeback from Soybean producers and UNL-extension personnels. Afterwhich, a state-wide launching with training component will be conducted.
